José de San Martin (#1125 and 1126) – This Champion of Liberty Series issue honors San Martin, Argentine general and statesman who led the struggle for independence from Spain for Argentina, Chile, and Peru.

St. Lawrence Seaway (#1131) – This issue marked the first time the U.S. and Canada issued stamps jointly, and was the first U.S. joint issue with any country.  The St. Lawrence Seaway permitted ocean-going ships to travel from the Atlantic Ocean to Great Lake ports.
