2004 Endangered Species, 4 stamps

With this series, the United Nations Postal Administration emphasizes the need for protection of endangered species.  The sloth bear, Eld’s deer, cherry-crowned mangabey, and wild water buffalo appear on the issues from the U.N. Offices in Vienna, Austria.  Eld’s deer are found in southeast Asia.  They are rare and survive heavy poaching only in protected areas.
