On January 31, 2003, the United Nations Postal Administration introduced a new series on Indigenous Art, beginning with the art of Latin America and the Caribbean.
The euro 0,51 mini-sheet contains a Panamanian mola, a Mochican vessel from Peru, Tarabuco cloth from Bolivia, Cuban masks, an Aztec priest’s headdress from Mexico, and a bird-shaped staff head from Colombia (ca. 1100-1600 A.D.).
