Secretary-General to enter into an agreement with the U.S. Post Office Department.  That agreement was reached in 1951, stating that the U.N. stamps would be denominated in U.S. currency and used only at U.N. Headquarters.  Other agreements followed with Swiss and Austrian postal authorities.  Today, the U.N. Postal Administration issues stamps simultaneously at U.N. offices in New York, Geneva, and Vienna.
