These Planet Mars stamps were issued by the United Nations in 2022.  The stamps were issued to commemorate human exploration of the red planet.  The Geneva Office stamps included an image of Mars taken by the United Arab Emirates's Hope probe and another showing the probe itself.  The Hope probe was launched on July 20, 2020, from Tanagashima Space Center, Japan.  Its mission was to "provide a complete picture of the Martian atmosphere and its layers... [to] help answer key questions about the global martian atmosphere and the loss of hydrogen and oxygen gases into space over the span of one Martian year."  The Hope probe made it to Mars on February 9, 2021, and successfully entered the planet's orbit.  This made the United Arab Emirates the first Arab country to reach Mars.  There were two stamps and one souvenir sheet issued by each United Nations office.
