ECOSOC – Education
The U.N. has stated that “Education is a fundamental human right and essential for the exercise of all other human rights.” An education is a powerful tool that can help economically and socially impoverished adults and children become contributing citizens of the world. Although great strides have been made to provide universal education, millions still are not granted this basic human right. An estimated 72 million children alone have been denied educations because of financial, social, or other challenges.
