1985 United Nations University

The United Nations University is a worldwide research and advanced training institution established by the U.N. It has no campus, students, or faculty, and it does not grant degrees. Instead, it is a central planning agency for networks of cooperating institutions and scholars. It has three major areas of interest - world hunger, human and social development, and use and management of natural resources. The university has headquarters in Tokyo, Japan.
