# UN897 - Indigenous Art: Musical Instrument
Indigenous Art
“Musical Instruments of Africa” is the theme of the third issue of the Indigenous Art Series that began in 2003.
The 37¢ stamps from the New York headquarters picture a two-legged wooden drum from the Ivory Coast, a double-membrane drum from 20th-century Tunisia, stringed instruments from Morocco, Sudanese drums, wood-carved musical instruments from 19th-century Cameroon, and a wood-and-leather harp from the nineteenth-twentieth-century Congo.
