1967 Towards Disarmament

In December of 1966, the U.N. General Assembly called upon all states possessing nuclear weapons “to suspend nuclear weapons tests in all environments,” especially outer space.  This was done in the interest of international peace and security, and in an effort toward agreement on general and complete disarmament.
