2020 World Heritage Sites Showcase Russia's History
On September 11, 2020, the United Nations Postal Administration issued another set of six stamps picturing UNESCO World Heritage Sites. That year, sites in the Russian Federation were featured.
The 55¢ stamp issued from the New York UN office pictures lake Baikal, the deepest freshwater lake in the world. Located in Siberia, it is more than 5,000 feet deep and is home to species found nowhere else.
The $1.20 stamp features a well-known symbol of Russia, the Kremlin and Red Square.
