STS-83 Return Cover

Produced by Colorano, this cover honors the Launch of the Space Shuttle Columbia’s 22nd mission, STS-83 (the 83th mission of the Space Shuttle program).

Launched on April 4, 1997, STS-83 carried the Microgravity Science Laboratory, an international collaborative designed to study the effects of microgravity.  The mission was supposed to last for more than 15 days but was cut short due to a Fuel Cell problem.  The Columbia landed successfully on April 8.
