This Colorano Silk Special Event Cover marks the May 6, 2015 test flight of SpaceX's Crew Dragon spacecraft.  The flight was launched from Space launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.  SpaceX had previously launched Dragon cargo spacecraft that carried supplies to the International Space Station.  This test flight exhibited teh Dragon's escape pod, a step necessary for NASA to certify SpaceX to become the first private company to carry US astronauts to the space station.
