Peace Dollars
The Peace Dollar coin was minted from 1921-28 and again from 1934-35. A successor to the Morgan Silver Dollar coin, it was created to commemorate the end of World War I. It was made of 90% silver with the "heads" side picturing the goddess Liberty and the "tails" side picturing an American bald eagle clasping an olive branch in its talons. Beneath the bird is the word "PEACE."
