The program has raised over $3.5 million, which was used to purchase more than 17,000 acres of wetlands. All hunters wishing to hunt waterfowl in New Jersey are required to purchase a stamp. Residents pay a lower fee than non-residents.
From 1984 to 2008, wildlife artists provided the artwork for the stamps. The image for the 1993 stamp was created by Bruce Miller.
