1851-57 Issue 1¢ blue Franklin Type IV horizontal pair and a 3¢ dull red Washington Type II single used by black grid cancels and red New York circular date stamp on folded letter to Geneva, Switzerland. August 14, 1855 New York British Packet circular date stamp at bottom right along with August 27, Calais - French receiving handstamp. British and Swiss receiving handstamps on reverse.
A very nice folded letter exhibiting the 5-cent rate to the ship in New York harbor with "130" and "5" manuscript due/accounting markings amid the cover's address.
