1847 10¢ black Washington used sheet margin single tied to piece with a red October 21st, 1848 Queenston Canadian transit cancel. Stamp with very large margins too close at bottom, neat manuscript pen stroke cancel and a diagonal crease in the right sheet margin. Canadian transit cancels are rarely seen on 1847 Issue stamps. With the full Canadian transit cancel tying the stamp to the piece, this is a remarkable and exhibit-worthy item.
