Mint Sheet Recalls Aircraft of World War II

These four mint stamps picture the Mitsubishi A6M "Zero," Messerschmitt Me 26, Macchi C.202 Folgore, and Hawker Hurricane aircraft, all flown by Allied or Axis forces during World War II.  Each stamp pictures a photo-quality view of the aircraft, giving you an up-close look at every detail.  The selvage includes a nighttime view of a city as seen from the sky above.  There's also a piece of text which reads:  "The fastest aircraft to see any combat in WWII was the German Messerschmitt Me 163.  The rocket-powered fighter set an airspeed record of 702 mph in 1944, although this record was not recognized by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale due to its secrecy during the war.

If you're a World War II-buff, then this is the sheet for you.  A great addition to your existing collection or start to a new side collection.
