Limited-Edition Fan Sheet Honors Rolling Stones’s 1990s Voodoo Lounge Tour

Formed in 1962, the Rolling Stones are Rock ‘n’ Roll pioneers and one of the world’s best-selling bands of all time.  Fronted by charismatic singer Mick Jagger, the band has won three Grammy awards and been inducted into the US and UK Rock ’n’ Roll Halls of Fame.  The self-proclaimed “world’s greatest rock ’n’ roll band” has had eight number one singles.  Hits include “Angie,” “You Can’t Always Get What You Want,” “Jumpin’ Jack Flash,” “Wild Horses,” “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction,” “Paint it Black,” and “Gimme Shelter.”  In 2022, Great Britain issued a set of stamps chronicling 60 years of rock history.

This mint sheet of three stamps commemorates the Rolling Stones’s 1994-95 Voodoo Lounge Tour.  The tour was named for the band’s 20th album of the same name. The selvage pictures Keith Richards at Wembley and the three first class stamps picture Richards and Ronnie Wood at a performance in Tokyo in 1995.  The sheet’s neat design also has a record peeking out the side, making it look like the sheet is a record album – really cool!
