On January 14, 2019, Canada Post issued a new stamp picturing the Commonwealth nation's ruler, Queen Elizabeth II. The stamp was issued because of a rate increase for first-class mail. The image is from a 2017 photo of the Queen taken in Portsmouth, England, by Chris Jackson.
Canada first featured Her Majesty on its stamps in May 1953 to commemorate her coronation. She has been the subject of many Canada stamps in the seven decades of her reign.
This stamp is a fitting reminder of the relationship between Canada and Great Britain. Add it to your collection today.
