In May 2017, President Donald Trump visited Vatican City and met Pope Francis for the first time.  You can own a mint souvenir sheet honoring that visit.  It pictures President Trump and his family at the Sistine Chapel after their meeting with Pope Francis. 

During the visit, President Trump and the Pope discussed peace, the environment and immigrants.  They also exchanged gifts.  The president gave the Pope a set of books by Martin Luther King, Jr., while the Pope present Trump with a medallion and some of his papal writings.  President Trump described their meeting as an “honor of a lifetime” and stated he was “more determined than ever to pursue peace in our world.”
