This fun 1991 Gambia souvenir sheet was issued to commemorate International Literacy Year.  It pictures disney characters in a scene from Rudyard Kipling's 1902 Just So Stories for Little Children.  The collection of 13 stories provides fantastical origins for the differences among animals. 

Pictured on this sheet are Mickey, Morty, and Ferdie reading "The Beginning of the Armadillos."  The story tells how the hedgehog and turtle became the first armadillos.
