Disney Stamps Capture Pinocchio

Issued in 1980 this fun set of seven Turks & Caicos Islands Christmas stamps features scenes from Pinnochio.  Released in 1940, it was Disney's second animated feature film.  The movie was based on Carlo Collodi's 1883 novel The Adventures of Pinocchio.  It was the first animated feature to win a competitive Academy Award, winning two, for Best Music, Original Score and Best Music, Original Song.
