This Wells Fargo & Co. Virginia City Pony Express cover pictures a 25¢ Red stamp (US #143L9) with ample margins tied by blue "Wells, Fargo & Co., Virginia City, N.T., May 5" oval date stamp on 1861 3¢ pink entire envelope (US #U34) to San Francisco. Second strike of date stamp canceling and black company frank at top.
This cover has several faults including reduction at right and partial backflaps. Despite this, it has a Fine appearance and remains a desirable piece of US postal history.
