Extremely Scarce Virginia City Pony Express Cover Can Be Yours Today – Only ONE Available!

This Wells Fargo & Co. Virginia City Pony Express cover pictures a 10¢ Brown stamp (US #143L7) with large margins just touching and including part of adjoining stamp at bottom.  The stamp is tied by a blue "Wells, Fargo & Cos. Express Gold Hill Utah" oval handstamp on 3¢ pink entire (US #U35) with Wells Fargo & Co. printed frank to Eldorado Cal.

This cover is in very fine condition and is notable for being a scarce use of the Virginia City Pony Express 10¢ brown stamp from Gold Hill.

*The Wells Fargo & Co. Gold Hill office continued using the "Utah" handstamp even after the region became part of Nevada.  Covers featuring the 10¢ Brown stamp are roughly 3 times scarcer than covers featuring the 25¢ Blue stamp.
