Stunning Canada Stamps Showcase
Spectacular Natural Sights

In 2018, Canada Post issued this neat booklet of 10 stamps picturing the Milky Way and the Northern Lights.  The stamps feature original photos from Canadian night sky photographers.  They were issued to mark the 150th anniversary of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada, which educates that nation’s people on the wonders of space.  The stamps also honor the 100th anniversary of the National Research Council of Canada’s Dominion Astrophysical Observatory in Victoria, British Columbia.

In addition to the breathtaking photos, each stamp includes the outlines and names of constellations.  They both also have hidden data – the date and time the photos were taken, coordinates, and the types of camera lenses used for the photos.  That information was printed in special ink in the borders that can only be viewed under a black light.

An interesting and astronomical addition to your collection – order yours now.
