Upon seeing it, German general Paul Ludwig Ewald von Kleist claimed it was “the finest tank in the world.” The T-34 quickly proved to be superior to the German tanks it fought and is considered the most effective, efficient, and influential tank design of the war. It was so effective, the Soviets continued to use the T-34 through the 1960s and other nations continue to use it today.
