Collectors prize Colorano’s Silk First Day Covers.  Each color illustration is printed on satin-finish fabric, fastened to the cover and surrounded by a luxurious gold embossed border.  While all First Day Covers are limited editions, covers with multiple stamps such as these are even scarcer.   These covers feature one new issue stamp with a special First Day of Issue cancellation, plus several other stamps that relate to its history.   

Selections will vary, but the one I looked through had lots of neat covers.  For instance, I saw one cover with a 2001 George Washington stamp accompanied by stamps honoring Martha Washington, Mount Vernon, the Surrender at Saratoga, and the Washington credo stamp.  I saw other covers honoring the USS Constellation, Sugar Ray Robinson, Frank Sinatra, Samuel de Champlain, Mother Teresa, Gerald Ford, baseball, and more.  One neat cover featured a 2006 Purple Heart stamp accompanied by stamps honoring the veterans of WWI, WWI, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War.
