Preserve your memories of Diana with a colorized portrait on genuine British Half Penny coin.
Born on July 1, 1961, Diana was the youngest of three daughters, and was three years older than her brother Charles. For the first years of her life, Diana lived at Park House on the Sandringham estate that belonged to the Royal Family. The large manor house had ten bedrooms and spacious grounds. Diana had a pretty, cream-colored bedroom from which she could see cows grazing on the idyllic green pastures surrounding Park House. Luxuries at Park House included a swimming pool, tennis court, and cricket grounds. As you might expect, the Spencer family had a full-time staff of six, including a butler, governess, cook, and nanny.
When Diana was six years old, her parents separated. She and her siblings remained at Park House with their father, but were raised by an assortment of different nannies, some not very nice. Without the presence of parents to love her, Diana turned her attention to animals. She began riding at the age of three, but stopped after she fell off her pony, injuring her arm. However, she had many pets during her childhood, including guinea pigs, hamsters, rabbits, a dog named Jill, and a cat named Marmalade. She once got into trouble for bringing a kitten to school. She managed to hide it for over a week before it was found.
