Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.  Not only was he a singing sensation, he was also a movie star!  This coin highlights one of hit films Elvis starred in.
Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar.  The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives along with an image of his signature. The coin is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Live a Little, Love a Little

The year is 1968 and Elvis’ movie career is in full swing with the release of four movies.  Elvis began work on Live a Little, Love a Little one month after the birth of his beloved daughter, Lisa Marie.  He finished filming on May 1, 1968 – Elvis and Priscilla's first wedding anniversary.  Based on bestselling author, Dan Greenburg’s book, Kiss My Firm, But Pliant, Lips, the movie included 1920’s singing heartthrob and actor, Rudee Vallee.  Other titles considered for the movie were, “Bumblebee Oh Bumblebee,” and “Born Rich.” Greenburg later wrote the screenplays for Oh! Calcutta! and the TV series Adam's Rib.

Elvis only recorded four songs for Live a Little, Love a Little.  One song, “A Little Less Conversation,” was re-recorded for the soundtrack of “Elvis Presley's '68 Comeback Special.”  Over thirty years later it was featured in the 2001 movie Ocean's Eleven.  Then it was used as background music in several Nike commercials for the 2002 FIFA (International [soccer] Football) World Cup.  That year it soared to number one in over 20 countries.  Perhaps the most interesting use of the song was as Howard Dean's 2004 presidential campaign theme song.
