# CNS421 - Elvis Presley Spin Out" US Half Dollar Commemorative Coin
Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. Not only was he a singing sensation, he was also a movie star! This coin highlights one of hit films Elvis starred in.
Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar. The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives along with an image of his signature. The coin is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.
Spin Out
Your new coin celebrates Elvis’ third movie to open in 1966 – the smash hit Spinout. By the time Spinout was filmed in 1966, Elvis had become the highest paid entertainer in the world and the highest single taxpayer in the United States. Elvis portrayed formula car driver Mike McCoy in Spinout.
Shelley Fabares co-starred in this musical as Cynthia Foxhugh – daughter of millionaire Howard Foxhugh (played by Shelley's “Donna Reed Show” dad, Carl Betz). Fabares was one of Elvis’ favorite co-stars and the only actress to be in three of his movies. And, like Elvis, she is also a recording star. Ironically, Fabares’ 1962 hit, “Johnny Angel,” was knocked out of the Billboard #1 spot by Elvis’ “Goodluck Charm.”
