Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. He is credited with 54 certified gold singles – more than any other recording artist ever! This coin highlights one of those songs that sold at least 500,000 copies.
Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar. The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives and is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.
Anything That’s Part of You
On October 15, 1961, Elvis stepped into the studios at RCA Records in Nashville, Tennessee. One of the songs he recorded during that session was “Anything That’s Part of You.” It became the B-side of a single, with “Good Luck Charm” as the A-side. Released on February 27, 1962, “Anything That’s Part of You” reached No. 31 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
In this song, Elvis is pining away for a lost love. He has saved a note she wrote and her hair ribbon to remember her by. “Anything That’s a Part of You” was written by Don Robertson, who was inducted into the Nashville Hall of Fame in 1972. Presley recorded many of Robertson’s songs throughout his career. Interestingly, “Anything That’s a Part of You” was also recorded in German by Bobby Solo in 1966.
