Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.  He is credited with 54 certified gold singles – more than any other recording artist ever!  This coin highlights one of those songs that sold at least 500,000 copies.

Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar.  The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives and is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Ain’t That Loving You Baby

“Ain’t That Loving You Baby” was recorded at RCA Nashville on June 10, 1958, while Elvis was on a two-week leave after completing Army basic training. Besides recording songs during his leave, Elvis and the gang had some fun at an all-night roller-skating party at the Rainbow Rollerdome in Memphis.

When the leave was over, Elvis moved into a home near Ft. Hood, Texas. While attending armor crewman school, he lived in the home with his parents, grandmother, and bodyguard Lamar Fike. His girlfriend Anita Wood was a frequent visitor.

Written by Clyde Otis and Joe Hunter, “Ain’t That Loving You Baby” was released in July 1958. It spent ten weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 list, peaking at number 16, and sold over a million records. It’s also featured on three albums – Elvis: Worldwide 50 Gold Award Hits – Volume 1, Elvis Gold Records – Volume 4, and Reconsider Baby.
