# CNS16016 - ELvis Presley "Burning Love Gold" US Half Dollar Commemorative Coin
Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. He is credited with 54 certified gold singles – more than any other recording artist ever! This coin highlights one of those songs that sold at least 500,000 copies.
Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar. The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives and is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.
Burning Love
“Burning Love” was recorded in March of 1972. Released with “It’s a Matter of Time” on the flip side, the single spent 15 weeks on the Billboard “Hot 100” list and peaked at #2. It was his biggest hit since “Suspicious Minds” in 1969. It was also his last Top 10 on the American Hot 100 or pop charts. “Burning Love” attained gold status in October 1972, just two months after its release.
Legendary songwriter Dennis Linde, who also wrote Elvis’ “For the Heart”, wrote the song. Linde is known as Nashville’s “secret weapon.” Although most fans don’t recognize him by name, they do know his current hit songs “Goodbye Earl,” “Bubba Shot The Jukebox,” and “John Deere Green.”
