Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.  As a real Elvis fan, you love capturing your favorite historic moments from the life of the original American idol.  This coin preserves one of your favorite Elvis memories

Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar.  The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives and is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Made Memphis Police Captain

In early February 1976, Elvis was given a badge and ID card by Memphis’s Chief of Police.  The ID stated: “Captain Elvis A. Presley is regularly appointed and commissioned by the Memphis Police Department to enforce the ordinances of the city of Memphis and the criminal laws of the State of Tennessee.  He is commended to those with whom he may have official business.”  The picture on the card was taken during recording sessions that took place on February 3 at Graceland.  As a loyal supporter of law officers, Elvis wore a police uniform during part of the recordings.

Because of his constant need for security, Presley had become friends with many officers in the Memphis Police Department, as well as departments around the country.  He had a high respect for law enforcement and took pride in collecting badges from agencies throughout the US and the world.  Elvis was known to carry his badges with him wherever he went and occasionally pulled a motorist over to issue a warning.
