Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar. The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives and is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.
Burnin’ Love Jumpsuit
Elvis’s famous Burnin’ Love Jumpsuit was commissioned and designed in 1971. The suit is also known as the Red Pinwheel and Red Matador. It was one of three different pinwheel suits he had (the others being black and white) and was the only red jumpsuit he ever owned. He usually wore the suit with a matching white-lined cape and gold attendance belt.
A photo of Elvis wearing the suit was used on the cover of his 1972 single for “Burnin’ Love,” which earned it its famous nickname. Though it wasn’t one of Elvis’ personal favorites, it’s one of his most famous jumpsuits among fans.
Late in 1972, Elvis donated the jumpsuit to the National Cerebral Palsy Telethon. Then in 1995 it sold at a Las Vegas auction for a record $107,000 and remains in a private collection.
