Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll. As a real Elvis fan, you love capturing your favorite historic moments from the life of the original American idol. This coin preserves one of your favorite Elvis memories
Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar. The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives and is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.
American Sound Studio Session
This coin pictures Elvis during a 13-day recording session at American Sound Studios in Memphis. The January 1969 sessions were his first in Memphis since 1955. Elvis sensed his career had grown stale and wanted to revitalize it. The songs produced here did just that.
Producer Chips Moman had assembled a band made up of local musicians to back Elvis. Moman later recalled, “[Elvis] came in there and he was on fire, man. He was excited about this session... ‘cause it was so different from his sessions that he’d been doing.”
Four hit singles and two albums resulted from Elvis’ time at American Sound Studios. “Suspicious Minds” was the last number-one song Elvis produced.
