Blue Nail Jumpsuit

Elvis first wore his famous Blue Nail Jumpsuit during his January and February 1972 shows in Las Vegas. And it was while wearing this suit that he performed in Hampton Roads, Virginia on April 9, in what has been regarded as one of his greatest performances that year.

This suit may also be familiar to fans because it was worn frequently in his Elvis On Tour documentary. The film was recorded over 15 days as he played 15 different cities in April 1972. The jumpsuit also appeared in the Lost Performances video. Today the jumpsuit is part of a fan’s personal collection.
