Elvis’ first show was sold out and so were the following 57 shows.  He broke all Las Vegas attendance records with over 130,000 people watching him perform in one month.  He also set a record for the highest grossing engagement, selling more than $1.5 million in tickets.  One fan from France sent 100 francs to reserve ten tickets for the dinner and midnight shows for five nights.
