Elvis Presley is rightly called the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll.  As a real Elvis fan, you love capturing your favorite historic moments from the life of the original American idol.  This coin preserves one of your favorite Elvis memories

Mystic has permanently bonded a vibrant image of Elvis to this uncirculated US Half Dollar.  The coin features an original photograph of Presley from his estate’s official archives and is officially licensed by Elvis Presley Enterprises.

Elvis’ Early Life

This coin takes you back to when Elvis lived on Old Saltillo Road and shows a charming image of Elvis as a small boy.

Elvis was born in a two-bedroom, “shotgun”-style (long and narrow) house in Tupelo, Mississippi, on January 8, 1935.  His twin brother, Jesse Garon Presley, had been delivered stillborn half an hour earlier.  Vernon, Elvis’ father, had trouble finding steady work and got in trouble with the law.  Elvis and his mother, Gladys, stayed with relatives for a time, and got help from neighbors and family members.

Growing up poor and as an only child helps explain why Elvis was so generous to friends and family after he became a worldwide star.  The coin captures the innocence of young Elvis – and that tilted cap is an endearing fashion statement!
