# CN2008M - 2008 United States Mint Set, Denver & Philadelphia Mint Marks
Own the 2008 Mint Uncirculated Coin Set – Including Final Set in 50 State Quarters Program
This set contains every coin denomination issued in 2008. This includes the ninth and final set of five quarters from the 50 State Quarters Program, with different states featured on the reverse (tails) side of the Washinton quarter. The states were honored in the order they joined the Union. The set also contains the second set in the Presidential Dollar Coins series and the final Sacagawea Golden Dollar before it was redesigned.
Mint sets are produced by the US Mint for the enjoyment of coin collectors. The planchets (blank metal disks that are struck to produce coins) are burnished before being hand loaded into the coining press. They are then placed in special packaging to keep them in uncirculated condition. Each set contains one coin of each denomination and design from each mint that produced coins that year. These mint sets are produced for only one year, so the supply is limited.
The 28 coins in this set are sealed in two blister-style folders. One folder contains the coins issued from the Philadelphia Mint, while the other displays the coins from the Denver Mint. The set comes with a chart describing the specifications of each coin including its design, composition, weight, and more.
This set contains:
2 Sacagawea Dollars
8 Presidential Dollars – honoring Monroe, John Quincy Adams, Jackson, and Van Buren
2 Kennedy Half Dollars
10 Washington Quarters (paying tribute to five states –Oklahoma, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii)
