1972 Mint Set Includes Coins from 3 Mints–

Add This Set of 11 Coins to Your Coin Collection

This set includes mint coins issued from the Philadelphia and Denver mint, as well as a penny issued from the San Fransisco mint.  The 11 coins are sealed in two protective plastic sleeves.  One sleeve has coins from the Denver Mint, along with a token certifying this is an uncirculated mint set.  The other sleeve contains coins from both the Philadelphia and San Francisco Mint.

Mint sets are produced by the US Mint for the enjoyment of coin collectors.  The planchets (blank metal disks that are struck to produce coins) are burnished before being hand loaded into the coining press.  They are then placed in special packaging to keep them in uncirculated condition.  Each set contains one coin of each denomination and design from each mint that produced coins that year.  These mint sets are produced for only one year, so the supply is limited.

This set contains:

2 Half Dollar – Philadelphia and Denver Mint

2 Quarters – Philadelphia and Denver Mints

2 Dimes – Philadelphia and Denver Mints

2 Nickels – Denver and San Francisco Mints

3 Pennies – Philadelphia, Denver, and San Francisco Mints
