Limited-edition cover features the 45¢ Tropical Coast airmail stamp and the 25¢ Grand Canyon stamp.
The 1990 airmail stamp, issued by the Postal Union of the Americas and Spain, features a Caribbean island beach like that discovered by Columbus. It was printed together with the 25¢ America issue on one quadrant of the same sheet.
The second issue of the America Series celebrates natural world wonders. The U.S. issue pictures the Grand Canyon, not as it is today, but as it might have looked almost 500 years ago. Erosion and time have left their mark on the Canyon, but it's still "grand!"
