On July 26, 1971,  Apollo 15 began its trip to the Moon.  It would become the fourth American spacecraft to land on the Lunar surface.  After three days on the Moon, the crew began its return trip to Earth.  On August 7, the command module successfully splashed down in the Pacific Ocean and was recovered by Task Force 130.  This cover was postmarked one the ships in that fleet, USS Kawishiwi,  in honor of the successful recovery of the spacecraft.  Add it to your space collection today.
