 Cover Commemorates Schirra's Mercury Space Flight

On October 3, 1962, Walter "Wally" Schirra orbited his spacecraft, Sigma 7, six times around the earth during his nine hour flight.  This cover was postmarked on the day of his flight from Cape Canaveral, Florida.  Schirra later went into space two more times as part of the Gemini and Apollo Projects.
