 Cover Commemorates Skiing at 1980 Winter Olympics

This Cover was postmarked at the Olympic Torch Station at the 1980 Winter Olympic Games, which were held in Lake Placid, New York.  The stamp on this cover (US #1796) pictures a downhill skier and is part of a set of four issued in honor of the Games.  The cachet on the cover shows many of the events held during the Olympics, as well as a representation of the Olympic flame and village.  Get this reminder of Olympic history today.
