Cover Pays Tribute to President Johnson

This Cover was issued in honor of President Lyndon Johnson’s 75th birth anniversary on August 27, 1983.  The memorial Cover was postmarked at Johnson’s presidential library and museum in Austin, Texas.  The cachet pictures the library and museum.  The Johnson stamp (US#1503) on the Cover was issued just months after his death on January 20, 1973.  The other stamp, the Liberty Torch, (US#1816) is part of the Americana Series.  Get your fitting President Johnson tribute cover today.
