More About Swaziland...

Eswatini (formerly Swaziland) is a country in Southern Africa bordered by Mozambique to the northeast and South Africa to the north, west, and south.  It is one of the smallest countries in Africa and it has two capital cities – Mbabane and Lobamba.

The first postage stamps of Swaziland were overprinted stamps of the South African Republic (Transvaal).  In 1902, the country became a British protectorate and used Transvaal Colony postage stamps from 1902 to 1910.  After that, the stamps of the Union of South Africa were used.  The first stamps issued by the self-governing protected state were issued in 1967, just before the country gained independence in 1968.  Stamps feature "Eswatini" from 2018 onward.  You'll enjoy discovering all the neat stamps in this collection.
