American Circus (#1309) – This stamp was released to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of John Ringling and to honor the American Circus industry.

Sixth International Philatelic Exhibition (#1310 and 1311) – This SIPEX (Sixth International Philatelic Exhibition) issue was released to recognize the 1966 Exhibition at Washington, D.C.  It was the first international stamp show ever held in the nation’s capital.

Bill of Rights (#1312) – Commemorates the 175th anniversary of the Bill of Rights (the first ten amendments to the constitution), which established freedom of religion and speech, freedom of the press, the right to a jury trial and other safeguards to human rights.

Johnny Appleseed (#1317) – John Chapman, popularly known as Johnny Appleseed, is honored with this stamp.  Chapman, while voyaging the Ohio River with two canoes filled with apple seeds, traveled over 100,000 square miles to plant orchards.

Christmas (#1321)– The fifth U.S. Christmas stamp illustrates the “Madonna and Child With Angels” by painter Hans Memling, which hangs in the National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C.
