Battle of New Orleans (#1261) – Honors 150 years of unbroken peace between England and the United States after the Battle of New Orleans, which was the last battle of the War of 1812.

Winston Churchill (#1264) – Pays tribute to Churchill, who was Prime Minister of Great Britain during World War II.  He was made an honorary citizen of the U.S. when John Kennedy signed a special Congressional bill.

International Cooperation Year (#1266) – Issued in San Francisco, at the site of the first meeting of the United Nations, this stamp marked the 20th anniversary of the United Nations and the International Cooperation Year.

Dante Alighieri (#1268) – Honors the 700th anniversary of the birth of Dante Alighieri, the famed Florentine poet who wrote “The Inferno.”

Christmas (1276) – The fourth Christmas issue features an Angel with a Trumpet.  It was originally made available to the public weeks before Christmas to promote the Post Office’s “Mail Early” campaign.
