The cultural revolution that began in the 1950s exploded in the 1960s.  Between President Kennedy’s election, the popularity of the Beatles, Elvis Presley’s comeback after his time in the Army, and protests against the war in Vietnam, a lot changed from 1960 to 1969.  Some especially influential events were JFK’s assassination, the Moon Landing, and the Woodstock Music Festival.
